TMPİBFL IN POLAND FOR THE 5th LTT
As part of the Erasmus+ KA220 SCH project, generously funded by the Polish National Agency, our school's teachers embarked on a transformative learning and teaching experience from September 6th to 10th in the charming city of Pułtusk, Poland.
From our school, English teacher Ferhat Şimşek, Biology teacher Zafer Kökoğlu, Chemistry teacher Talip Ulutanrıverdi, and Physics teacher Mahmut Esat Akbal participated in this enlightening journey.
The educators had the privilege to attend a workshop led by Beata Hejne on "Artificial Intelligence and Gamification in Education." During this session, they delved into the world of artificial intelligence tools and learned how to gamify their lessons effectively. Following this, Beata Hejne presented insights into "Reflections on Kirkpatrick and Sweller Theories" and shared best practices for incorporating games in the classroom.
A special highlight of the program was the meeting with the Mayor of Pułtusk, where participants had the opportunity to engage with the local community and gain a deeper understanding of how gamification in education can impact local societies.
In the afternoon sessions, educators explored the fundamental elements of effective gamification in the classroom and delved into strategies for using artificial intelligence tools to enhance teaching materials. They witnessed and participated in a class that showcased the effectiveness of gamification in boosting student engagement, utilizing both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation through reward programs and gamification tools.
The trip also allowed participants to explore the historic city of Toruń, immersing themselves in its rich cultural heritage.
Throughout the Erasmus+ project, participants acquired valuable knowledge about gamification, artificial intelligence, and digital tools in education. They also seized the opportunity for international collaboration and shared experiences with educators from different backgrounds.
In the closing stages of the program, educators gained insights into designing educational games using AI during a workshop. They also observed a lesson that incorporated gamification, modern technology, and rewards to enhance the learning experience.
The Erasmus+ mobility provided ample inspiration and emphasized the significance of innovation in education. It encouraged participants to envision the role of artificial intelligence and gamification in the future of teaching and learning. This project served as a valuable opportunity for educators eager to push the boundaries of education and provide students with a more effective learning experience.
